Performing arts organizations have life cycles just like every other organization. Unfortunately, in our sector there is a real taboo around the idea of closing our companies. It’s time for a sector-wide revolution on the closure of organizations - a revolution that focusses on the celebration of successfully completed artistic missions, and on building meaningful legacies for years to come.

Having worked with both Peggy Baker Dance Projects and Art of Time Ensemble on their strategic wind-down plans, I have developed expertise in assisting artists and boards of directors to clearly define their goals for the company’s final production period, as well as for the organization’s legacy. I help to create action plans for three specific stages of the company’s wind-down, focussing on fundraising planning, project realization, and final shut-down, with the overarching objective of the company closing well.

I’m available to have a preliminary conversation with no strings attached if you have questions on how this could all work for your organization.
